Chris Waller, a native of Houston, Texas, played four years at Alief Hastings High School, where he helped lead the varsity basketball program to one of its most successful seasons in history. Under his leadership, the team became Bi-District 5A Champions and Area Champions. Chris was also named First-Team All-District in his senior year. Following high school, Chris received a scholarship to Cedar Valley Junior College, where he played a pivotal role in guiding the team to a national appearance and earned the title of JUCO National Runner-Up as a freshman.
After earning his associate degree from Cedar Valley College, Chris continued his education and basketball career at Southwestern College, where he earned a bachelor’s degree in Physical Performance and Sport Studies. As a senior starter at Southwestern, Chris was a key player in leading the Mound Builders to their first national appearance in 10 years.
That same year, he was named an NAIA All-American and First-Team All-Conference. After graduation, Chris pursued a professional basketball career overseas, playing in Europe with Ponte Prizreni in Kosovo. Upon returning to Houston, he joined Team Ambition Training, focusing on skill development and mentoring young athletes. Chris is passionate about sharing his knowledge and experiences to help players improve their game. His love for basketball drives him to inspire and coach the next generation of athletes.
